The Oklahoma State Medical Association (OSMA) and the Tulsa County Medical Society (TCMS) are here to support physicians. Built for physicians, we make practicing medicine in Oklahoma better.
We provide resources, wellness programs, social events, and networking opportunities while advocating for healthcare policies and supporting medical education and leadership. By fostering community and collaboration, we also work to improve health care here in Tulsa.
How do we support physicians?
Together TCMS and OSMA plays a multifaceted role in supporting physicians across various aspects of their professional lives. Here are just a few examples:
-
Through wellness initiatives, we provide free and confidential therapy aimed at promoting the mental and emotional well-being of physicians, helping them manage stress, prevent burnout, and prioritize self-care.
-
Advocacy efforts ensure that physicians' voices are heard in shaping healthcare policies, addressing issues affecting the practice of medicine, and advocating for the well-being of both patients and healthcare professionals.
-
Networking and social opportunities allow physicians to connect with peers, mentors, and experts in the field, fostering collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and professional growth.
-
Educational offerings, such as conferences, workshops, and online resources, provide physicians with opportunities to enhance their clinical skills, stay abreast of the latest medical advancements, and meet continuing education requirements.
-
Provide medical students scholarships, leadership, and development opportunities outside of the classroom along with resident engagement and support to help build and guide the next generation of physicians.
