The Tulsa County Medical Society and Oklahoma State Medical Association proudly welcomed first-year medical students at the OU-TU School of Community Medicine and the OSU College of Osteopathic Medicine during July and August. As part of our ongoing commitment to supporting future physicians, TCMS provided lunches during the students’ first weeks on campus, an opportunity to offer encouragement and begin building connections with the next generation of healthcare leaders.
These gatherings allowed TCMS and OSMA leadership, student members of the SRC, and staff to meet incoming students, share insights about the local medical community, and highlight the resources and advocacy offered through membership and involvement in organized medicine.
It was a meaningful way to connect with students during a formative time and to demonstrate the importance of physician-led support throughout medical training.
We’re excited to follow these students on their journey through medical school, residency, and into clinical practice. TCMS and OSMA remain dedicated to cultivating a strong and engaged medical community, and we look forward to providing continued opportunities for networking and collaboration as these future physicians advance in their education and careers.
